Thanksgiving dinner at Gina’s house

Hello friends,

Welcome to our new home! Here at the foodie collaborative blog, you will find great recipes, practical tips, and sound recommendations about all things related to food and drink. We are just in the beginning stages of building our site, so please check back often to see what’s new!

The foodie collaborative was founded by four self-proclaimed foodies – Alice, Masako, Padraig, and Gina – who each bring a different perspective and skill set to the table. You can learn more about each of us by hitting the “introductions” label on the left side of the main blog. In the mean time, here is the quick overview of our food interests:

Alice: vegetarian, local food

Masako: incredible baked goods

Padraig: tasty and festive beverages

Gina: comfort foods and homestyle dinners

Certainly, these categories are not exclusive to one person. While each of us has our main “areas”, we’ve all dabbled in broad-spectrum cooking. Padraig has made a Lemon and Rosemary roasted chicken, Gina has baked some killer brownies, Masako has whipped up a serious vegetarian feast, and Alice is an expert on no-knead bread. So, sit back, relax, and join us in our food adventures!

A few last thoughts… None of us are chefs, so we certainly don’t create all of our own recipes. Often, we use recipes we pull off the web or find in a favorite cookbook – and when we do this, we’ll do our absolute best to attribute the source. Also, if we used another recipe as a starting point, we’ll try to point that out too. Lastly – please do leave us comments, we would love to hear them (and yes, they will be moderated).
